Linfield Elegance

Valley Forge Area

Built in 1897 by Garrett E. Brownback, this beautiful, salmon-stoned, 22 room Victorian mansion is indeed a treasure. Skilled craftsmen not only from the United States, but also from Italy and England, were used to construct this magnificent home. The marble and alabaster foyer leads to the three story chestnut staircase. Stained glass and fireplaces abound. The dining room, where your breakfast is served, features oak paneling, built-in buffet, window seat and tile fireplace. The library, sitting room, and parlor are all outstanding examples of the Victorian period.

Birds eye maple, tiger maple, cherry, and mahogany were used for the built-in armoires in the various bedrooms. Claw-footed tubs, flowered fabrics, laces, and antique furniture provide a romantic and elegant ambience. Rooms have either queen or king beds and private baths. The king suites boasts Jacuzzi bathtubs.

At the holiday season, the inn is decorated with over 30 Christmas trees. In the spring and summer, enjoy the lush gardens which feature many varieties of plants and flowers.

GUEST COMMENTS

Staying here is like stepping back in time--the furnishings and decor and the fact that the inn is filled with a variety of antiques are really amazing.  If the interior wasn’t amazing enough, the gardens, pond and patio are very inviting and relaxing.  MN

We had a wonderful time. The owners were sweet and the home itself was impressive. Our room was well designed & spacious. It was a great choice for our Honeymoon evening. TG

Malvern Historic Inn

Main Line Area

Since 1745, this elegant country inn has been center stage for American history and a premier carriage stop for hungry travelers. During the revolution, the Inne was owned by John Penn of Philadelphia, loyalist and grandson of William Penn. It was here that the Loyalists met, drew maps and plotted against the revolutionaries. Howe and Cornwallis used these maps to negotiate the great valley, the route to capture Philadelphia.

Its classic "Olde World" elegance has been expanded to include eight suites magnificently appointed with four-poster beds and other authentic colonial furnishings. Each suite offers a parlor, a bedroom and bathroom. Each suite offers television, radio/alarm clocks, and private telephones. All suites have working gas fireplaces, and one suite has a Jacuzzi big enough for two. The Presidential Suite is perfect for the corporate executive who desires conference space for seminar attendees.

The inn, which serves lunch and dinner, is known not only for its atmosphere of charm and style, but also for its friendly welcome and excellent food.

GUEST COMMENTS

"This B&B was very nice.  Directions were clear and concise and the place itself was warm, comfortable and inviting.   The room itself was unexpectedly large, a real sweet suite, with very modern bathroom. We enjoyed our stay." AS

GUEST COMMENTS

"This is our absolute favorite B&B!  We stay there at least once a year.
The family are like friends to us.  And they have the most incredible
breakfasts I've ever had anywhere!  In all of the years we've been staying
there, I don't think we've eaten the same thing twice." DD
